    Tornadoes

I'm not from the Midwest and I don't know anyone there, so I was always wondering; what do you do if you're out on the road and you see a tornado slowly coming your way and there's no shelter? What would you do with your bike?

Not from the mid-west either but I'd turn around and haul ass with my bike.

If I'm in my car we used to chase that shit back when I was in high school. I love storms. On a bike I would find a bridge and get under it

Thankfully I am no longer in the area but it seems I have picked states that randomly (like once in a blue moon, every decade or so) a tornado will touch down. The first time is back when I was in WV and for me I was in a car when it happened, pulled into a neighbors driveway and ducked down in his shelter. Hell if I were on a bike I would more than likely try (stupidly) to outrun it.

Get off the bike and lay down in a ditch. You want to be lower than ground level. If a tornado is coming towards you, I don't think its a good idea to try to outrun it. You can get another bike. You only have one life.

Ride in a 45 degree angle away from the storm, I wouldn't lie in a ditch, debris, and tornado's follow the terain, I don't want to be like the wicked witch of the east!
